Lead one of Bali's most distinctive properties

The Seed is a full-buyout oceanfront sanctuary in Candidasa, East Bali. Eight bedrooms across four architecturally distinct villas. 6,400 square meters of grounds spanning private pools, Bloom Kitchen restaurant, a recording studio, oceanside cinema, and fully bespoke wellness and entertainment programming.

The brand has earned significant recognition — featured in Harper's Bazaar, Travel & Leisure, Departures, and the Australian Financial Review, and named Bali's Best Boutique Stay by The Honeycombers. We are seeking a General Manager to lead the property through its next phase of growth, bringing together a talented team, a strong commercial vision, and the leadership presence to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

The Role

Senior leadership,
total ownership

As General Manager, you are the most senior leader on property and the Owner's trusted partner in running the business. You set the direction, build the culture, and lead eight Heads of Department to deliver results across every area of the resort — commercial performance, guest experience, operations, and people. You report directly to the Owner and Founder.

Business Strategy Development
Stay current with industry trends and monitor the competitive landscape to identify new opportunities. Develop business plans to maximize guest satisfaction, profitability, and market share. Translate vision into clear, executable plans for the team.

Business Strategy Execution
Execute business plans designed to maximize guest satisfaction, profitability, and revenue growth. Hold the leadership team accountable for successful delivery. Experiment with new ideas and take calculated risks to improve performance.

Sales & Marketing
Develop and execute revenue-generating strategies across all segments — private stays, weddings, retreats, B2B, and direct HNW. Identify new business leads and ensure the marketing strategy is aligned with the brand.

Revenue Management
Develop effective pricing strategies balancing seasonality, demand, and guest segments. Establish a revenue management framework with sound forecasting and yield practices to maximize occupancy and ADR.

Talent & People Leadership
Create a cohesive, high-performance leadership team. Coach Heads of Department with specific feedback and accountability. Develop individual growth plans for direct reports based on their strengths and aspirations.

Business Intelligence
Review business data including revenue performance, occupancy, guest satisfaction, and team engagement. Analyze proactively to address changing market conditions and ensure the property operates within budget.

Guest & Public Relations
Interact with guests regularly to understand their experience. Use insights to drive continuous service improvement. Anticipate the needs of high-profile guests and ensure flawless delivery at every touchpoint.

Owner Relations
Build a strong, trusted relationship with the Owner through proactive communication. Provide in-depth analysis of business results and develop solutions that create long-term value for the property.
What We're Looking For

The profile
we need

Experience
Minimum 5 years in senior hospitality leadership, with at least 2 years at General Manager or Hotel Manager level
Background in an internationally recognized luxury or upper-upscale hotel group
Hands-on F&B leadership — menu strategy, beverage direction, and dining experience design
Proven event production from intimate private gatherings to large productions of 200+ guests
Commercial Acumen
Strong understanding of hotel distribution, revenue management, and multi-channel sales strategy
Ability to read and act on occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, pace, and P&L data
Experience building key account relationships: agents, planners, wholesale, and direct HNW clientele
Technology & AI Fluency
Comfortable using AI tools for reporting, forecasting, guest communication, and operational efficiency
Experienced with hotel PMS, CRM, and channel management platforms
Genuine curiosity about how technology can make a team smarter and a business more competitive
Language & Cultural Fluency
Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia, written and spoken — this is a firm requirement
Working familiarity with Balinese language and a genuine understanding of local village culture
Based in Bali, or fully committed to relocating to Candidasa on a permanent, full-time basis
